Note to that and a warning - last year I only subscribed for a couple of months. I received an email yesterday from Setanta that I needed to update my account information (credit card had expired) because they had tried to charge me again for this month and it would not go through. I wrote them back, do not attempt to charge my account again, delete my account, and that I would not be subscribing until they broadcast more South Sydney games.

Cal, nope, I don't believe they are on cable in the US. Their internet broadband service is what I subscribed to last year.

I think it's likely they will carry the same type of schedule as last year, since they are licenced to broadcast NRL games but it would be nice if they would just say something to that effect. Since the season hasn't started yet, I guess I'll just keep looking at the weekly schedule looking for the first game to be broadcast. So far the...

CGee, from what I have been ablet to gather Googling around the web, Setanta Sports is carried by satellite networks, DISH and DirectTV, in North America, but it doesn't seem to be carried by cable providers. Have you been able to find any cable providers that carry it?

Thanks to Gee at the Perch, Setanta 'clarifies' its NRL coverage last season. Bully for them, but it doesn't do squat as far as saying what they intend to do THIS season. I've emailed twice and still no response as to what there plans are for this year. Beyond specific to the Rabbitohs, I just wanted a confirmation that they will broadcast any of the games before I subscribed.

OMG, I just watched the Jimmy Kimmel vid. That was hysterical. First Gone Baby Gone and now this! Ben Affleck is on a roll.

Thanks for the article on producing the Kimmel vids.... and wouldn't you know it... they try to stir controversy.

I'm so sick of the TV witchhunts ... the vids were on late, late night TV and then on a website catering for adults. We're adults.. if something offends us, we can clik it off or not watch it in the first place. and if kids are watching late night... parents ought to do something about it.

I heard two long reports on NPR about this with some of the music - very moving to see how music/art can conquer such wide political, geographic and cultural divides. Plus any excuse to listen to Gershwin is a good.
