I hard a hard night trying to sleep 'cuz my eye lid is so painful from that damn insect bite and looking at it today, I've either been bitten AGAIN or I got hit twice. I look like Rocky Balboa (no, make that Jim Braddock at the end of CM). Well, not that bad, but....
So, I woke up to this news about Palin!! Holy crap is right!! I hope it's good news for the state of Alaska--maybe now they will have someone who will actually govern and be more...

Wow. Well that's one way to not have Michael Jackson on the news. The Palin Crazy Train continues.

Not a fan of most of Cohen's characters. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Just got back from seeing Away We Go and I'll ditto what everyone has said already. A really good film. Funny and poignant at once.

I think "iceberg rumors" are usually about something partially out of view... ie, there may be more to rumors circulating about her. But what it's all about, I don't know, but eagerly await further [legit] news coverage.

As a democrat, I was rather hoping she would run for President, for what should be obvious reasons

eta: HOLY CRAP! I just read that Sarah Palin is stepping down as governor of Alaska. I wonder what that is all about.

Sarah Palin has announced that she will resign as governor of Alaska and will not seek a second term.

The Bruno bit on Russell was funny. I found Borat kind of boring and repetitive and it drove me crazy that the film portrayed Kazakhstan as if it were somewhere near Modavia. Yeah, yeah, I know it is all a put-on, but I can't appreciate it if it doesn't have some inkling of resemblance to reality. I thought Ali G was a lot funnier, especially when people took him seriously.

That Bruno interview bit is a little funny but maybe it's my generation, I'm not a fan of Borat/Bruno type of humor in those movies, I find it unfunny and at times rather cruel.

I agree with ya Cindy. A little tiny bit of him goes on way too long for me even. Couldn't stand Borat nor AliG on tv so I really can't see me watching the new character. To each his own I guess.

Wow! I know some of you have seen and enjoyed the terrific Danish movie, Brothers, with Connie Nielsen. I knew there was a remake by Jim Sheridan (a fave, In America), with Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal but didn't realize it was coming out in Dec. I just saw a trailer at Awards Daily. It looks absolutely wonderful, now one of my most anticipated movies for the rest of the year. Also stars Sam Shepard and Mare Winningham. The original has a 6 degrees of Russell...

Thanks for that article, CGee. I sure hope DTaylor can maintain that form next season. He's very young for a prop, so to be looking that good now is a great thing. How amazing would it be if he made it on the QLD team for OriginIII?

And just look at that photo of Baby Wing! Not to rag on Wingy, but my crush Crocker has played in SIX Grand Finals. And he's going to play in at least one more, when Souths win #21!

I liked Borat, but it did get old after awhile. Just went on too long. I can't say I love Cohen's 'total immersion' type of comedy but I admire his talent and commitment.

Babz, thanks for the Souths articles last night. I've followed teams that people 'loved to hate' but I don't think I've ever seen the easy animosity that so many feel for Souths as well as the constant piling on.
