Good morning.... and some good news too... American Gangster is the leader in DVD sales, even beating out George Clooney's Michael Clayton !! Yay! Ag is
the leader in rentals as well.
I read that AG's overseas screen earnings have surpassed the US take, as well. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080228/film_nm/dvd_dc;_ylt=AoIG1_t_mGS4dY3aevqVzzRxFb8C ![]() |

Also... according to Murph..
That bit of news yesterday about the animated Harland Williams film is pure "I wish." Russell has never heard of it. While I had no idea as to whether Russell was involved, other than reading that blog report, I thought it very odd that the HW film wasn't mentioned in any of the media reports about Dreamwork's Animation film re-scheduling [I posted one piece yesterday, I think] for the next two years. It takes a long time for animated films to go from conception to release. I've read that it's usually several years. ---------------------------- By the way... as I make my way around Yuku... trying things out as I have time, I've learned that old ezmessages I had saved have disappeared into the vapors. ![]() |

Great news about AG! This should've been nominated along with Yuma. It just shows how out of touch AMPAS with the public. And they are wondering why Oscar
ratings are dipping lower and lower each year.
re: Atlas Shrugged, meh this movie sounds BORING . I hope RC doesn't do it. And I can't stand that Skankelina Jolie, sorry AJ fans. I'd rather he do The Hobbit or Halo movie than this. ![]() |

Hmmm, no Route 66/Roadside Attraction, eh? To be fair to Harland Williams, it was never he who mentioned Russell, that casting info came from some site
called Movie Insider, who knows where they got it....or made it up. LOL! However, he didn't shoot down the Atlas Shrugged info, so I'm guessing he at
least has read the script and may be thinking about it. I have cable, so no Setanta available here. IF I could get the games streaming on my computer, that'd be great, but I probably still
wouldn't watch them all as most come on at 1 or 2 in the morning for me. The games I usually/listen to are the afternoon games. If they were on my TV,
though, I'd watch games from the other teams as well as the Bunnies, or TiVo them, depending on the time.

Another benefit from Peter and Russell taking over the team, they will be able to keep many more of their Juniors, instead of them going to a team better able
to pay and with better records.

Forgot to watch that Wallace and Grommit vid, thanks for the reminder, LOL!
I'm hoping In Bruges shows up here this weekend, I've been waiting for it. Loved the trailer, it looked intriguing and I like Colin, Brendan and Ralph F. I've listened to about half Ridley's commentary on AG, it's interesting but not as interesting as the ones with Glad or Blade Runner. Here's a little tidbit from a blogger who had an early interview with Russell. (Virtuosity) This woulda been me, and I woulda been caught. 2. Russell Crowe caught me helping myself to his afternoon tea.

That's cute Cindy, what's a pikelet?
And in a bit of "OT but not OT" news, apparently Maxim gave a Black Crowes album a star rating before they'd even heard it. [sarcasm]Not that the print press would ever prejudge anything...or anybody.[/sarcasm] http://news.aol.com/entertainment/music/music-news-story/ar/_a/faux-reviews-land-maxim-in-hot-water/20080227154109990001 I guess this is a new one - a fauxcrowe review. *giggles*

I'm so glad you enjoyed In Bruges, sec.
I agree about Atlas Shrugged... I think I'll wait to read it [having so many other books waiting my attention] until we get some confirmation whether Russell is on board. His practice, I've noticed, is to let Murph know if he's NOT doing something or hasn't even heard of it ... but stays quiet about what he is considering. And that's wise.. projects get sidelined and never come to full fruition ... and negotiations can be full of pitfalls and difficulties. ----------------------- I found a couple interesting things to share... first, from a message at the SoP imdb message board Re: DC Extras Casting and second.. From Variety, yesterday. No mention of Nottingham, but it's a picture of concern, I'd say. Still... as this article makes clear, some of the big films are going ahead anyway, but making contingency plans. "Film greenlights in limbo Pic development gives way to strike concerns" http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117981560.html?categoryid=13&cs=1 ![]() |

What's a pikelet? Beats the bejesus out of me, sec,

If it's anything like a scone, I'd like it.
Hmm, sec, that's an interesting bit about Maxim. I wonder if it's some sort of a payola deal from the studio, just plain laziness, or a simple
error. Somehow, when there are journalists involved, I'm not buying the simple mistake excuse.

Aw, Geez, Anne, I hope you get over your cold really quickly. The one I got on the way back from Jax lasted way too long for me. Maybe you should stay home a
couple of more days, if possible. I drank gallons of hot tea, chicken soup and NyQuil (well, not gallons of that, lol).
Alikin, huh? You broke your nose last night? How the heck did you do that? I know Big Bad Ben is good for lots of things, (yummy) but a broken nose? Aren't in a lot of pain? Did you go to the ER or a doctor?

Morning,
Thanks for that vid, Flake! It certainly took a lot of work to do. BC, if you want your PM's just go to a board where you've posted that hasn't changed to Yuk yet. I retrieve the PM's I wanted to save from my account at the Perch. Good to hear Sutton has extended his contract. I can't wait to watch/read/listen to some footy!

Did you go to the ER or a doctor?I fell in my kitchen onto the hardwood floor. I just mopped up the mess and got the bleeding to sorta stop. I called an ENT doctor this AM and got an appt for Monday. They don't want to see you for 3 to 5 days until the swelling goes down (learned that through past experience...twice Ali

Oh boy, Ali!
But I guess all's not lost when you can make jokes about it. Get better soon! Anne, get well soon! Stay home as long as you can, that's the best cure! Great news about AG sales and rentals.
I'm going watch Michael Clayton and Vantage Point this Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it. As far as the cast is concerned, I'll say this: Russell is going to be an absolutely AWESOME and perfect Cal McCaffrey and Ben is a PERFECT choice for the politician. Now I see what you meant about us rarely agreeing on stuff movie-wise! But see, you couldn't stop watching it, could you?

I am sure glad the picture helped others feel better. I think it worked for me too. Luckily I don't work again till Monday so I can rest. But I need to do
some shopping, so I am off to stock up on nyquil and musinex. It seems to help.
Sorry about your nose, Ali. Hope it isn't broken.
