Well good mornin' RoonieRoon. C'mere and let me give you a big, southern, "how y'all been, darlin' " hug.
(love that sig) I've been up half the night with a nasty sore throat, but then I remembered this was my favorite week of the year and the drive to take my son to school reminded me why. The little windy country road we travel goes up and over a ridge, and at the top this morning, the sun was just coming out and the swirly clouds were all pink and mauve and the sky just glowed. Plus, the woods are at their peak right now, orange and red and yellow everywhere you look. Then we dropped down into the valley, and there was a blanket of fog just thick enough so that the rose color shone through a little, and you could see the forms of the trees in the pasture fields, and the odd cow grazing in the fog. The ponds all had thick mist rising off of them. It was just gorgeous. Made my crappy morning a lot better. I reject your unbelievable bullshit.

Morning ladies.
Roon, love that photo and caption. sec, hope your sore throat does't turn into anything else. The scene you describe sounds the absolute definition of pastoral loveliness, yep, you should have had a camera. From Murph's, the article written by Martyn Palmer about Maximus for the Empire Icons of the Decades issue. It's a really great read, some new quotes from Russell and Ridley about the uphill battle to get the film made. You can definitely understand why the two of them formed such a strong bond. Big thanks to Anna H for the scan. http://www.murphsplace.com/crowe/empire-uk09-2.html Also, thanks to maria for finding this very cute set report of an extra on N3D. We should be able to pick her out in the movie from her description of the scene, if it's left in. http://lanette.startlogic.com/www.gossipdiva.net/blog/?p=2146 The Diva And Russell Crowe

Love the photo, Roon. Go the All Blacks. Pity it's not league, though. I guess league only scares NBA players.
GREAT description of your morning viewing, Sec. Also great article scanned at Murphs. |

From yesterday, yes. CGee. State College was gorgeous in the fall. And I was glued to the tv watching the game. It's great to live in Michigan when Penn
State wins, its too bad its wasn't a better Michigan team. I can't imagine what it will be like when Joe leaves. It will be a different game.
Great pic, Roon and that drive sounds pretty, Sec.

BB -- thanks for the haka photo.
Check out the NZ haka vs the Tonga haka before the league game in Rotorua. Gotta love Issac's enthusiasm doing the haka. I'm looking forward to seeing Eddy Pettybourne doing a pre-game haka sometime soon. And, as long as I'm talking about RL, this amused me, from an article at The Roar. And what of Burgess? Well, he has got all the wraps and it should add an extra element to the match in Wigan. Great merchandising.

Love that image, Roon, and so true!
In some ways it seems like forever in the past ten years since Glad and in other ways it has totally flown by. Great article and new quotes. And sec, what a beautiful description of a morning. Take that camera next time!
